And before United's quarter-final game against FC Copenhagen, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc appeared to rule out a potential switch.
The Bundesliga club continued to rub salt in the wound of United as they took to social media with a brutal tweet.
They posted a picture of the England international in training, accompanied with the caption: "You love to see it."
Needless to say, Dortmund's post about Sancho sent the online football community wild.

One Twitter user wrote: "This is straight up disrespectful man."
A second tweeted: "Now you're just taking the p**s lol."
A third added: "Always been a big fan of BVB."
Speaking about United's pursuit of Sancho, Zorc said: "We plan with Jadon Sancho. He'll play for us next season. The decision is final. I think that answers all of the questions.

"Last summer, we adjusted Jadon's salary to match the development of his performances. So in context, we had already extended his contract until 2023 back then."
Sancho remains at the centre of the biggest transfer saga of the summer.
Amid the ongoing transfer, United booked a spot in the Europa League semi-final after beating FC Copenhagen 1-0.
