Joao Felix and Lionel Messi were involved in a heated altercation as Atletico Madrid secured a sensational 3-2 victory in the Spanish Super Cup on Thursday.
The 20-year-old Portuguese wonderkid, who was snapped up from Benfica last summer, squared up with Barcelona captain Messi before half-time with the score 0-0.
The two La Liga stars seemingly took issue with one another before Barca defender Gerard Pique rushed in to separate the pair.
And only moments later other Barcelona players swamped Felix as tensions continued to rise.
Ex-Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, 32, also took issue with the Portugal international as the two entered into a heated spat before Barcelona and Atletico players separated the pair.
Felix appeared to lose his temper earlier in the clash when Jordi Alba touched his face, prompting the Atletico ace to slap the Barca left-back's finger away.
Fans have flocked to social media and accused Barcelona players of 'ganging up' on Felix during the Super Cup clash.
Koke opened the scoring early into the second half of the semi-final clash at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
But Messi would find an equaliser minutes later before Antoine Griezmann added Barca's second.
Diego Simeone's men would continue to fight back and pulled level through Alvaro Morata, who converted from the spot-kick.
And Atletico would seal a sensational 3-2 victory after Angel Correa found the back of the net with four minutes of normal time remaining.
Atletico will now face arch-rivals Real Madrid in the Super Cup final on Sunday in Jeddah.
