Tiemoue Bakayoko Rated Worst Player On The Pitch, Subbed Off After Shocking 45 Minutes
Seriously, what's happened to Tiemoue Bakayoko?!
The French midfielder rose to prominence at AS Monaco, eventually securing a transfer to Chelsea who fended off competition from Manchester United.
But he's failed to produce.
Bakayoko has since been loaned out to AC Milan though he's yet to make an impression.
In fact, he's been awful in Italy. His misery was compounded on Thursday night when AC Milan lost 2-1 to Real Betis in the Europa League.
Bakayoko started the game in midfield. However, Gennaro Gattuso dragged him off at the break after a horrendous 45 minutes.
Needless to say, Italian media didn't hold back.
Tuttosport, La Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Corriere dello Sport all issued their verdict and it doesn't make for pleasant reading.
Tuttosport rated Bakayoko's performance a paltry 4/10. Il Corriere dello Sport also rated him 4/10.
Though the most damning assessment came from La Gazzetta dello Sport who labelled him the 'worst on the pitch'.
He was brutally trolled online, too.
Bakayoko is one of the worst players I've seen in a Milan kit in some time. And that's a big statement with some of the trash that's floated through the club in recent years- pesh (@forzamike) October 25, 2018
We're clearly playing with 9 players. Borini and Bakayoko don't count #MilanBetis- Forza Milan (@AllaboutMilan99) October 25, 2018
If you think you can't be successful in life, I'll like you to reconsider and know that Borini and Bakayoko are actually being paid real money to play football.- AbdulMalik (@TheMalikYusuf) October 25, 2018
I don't understand what Borini and Bakayoko offer at the moment. Bakayoko looks completely lost from a positional sense and even more so when the ball falls to him. Borini, bless him. He tries so hard, runs a lot but that's ultimately it for contribution.- Matteo Bonetti (@TheCalcioGuy) October 25, 2018
I'm looking forward to a Bakayoko masterclass tonight- Joe Milanista (@themilanisti11) October 25, 2018
I still can't believe how utterly useless he has been, I think "surely this must be a joke" because Tiémoué Bakayoko's performances in a Milan shirt have been nothing short of laughable so far.
Here's hoping Bakayoko can rediscover his form at AS Monaco.
