Arsenal's record signing Nicolas Pepe was involved in a staggering 33 goals for Lille last season, only Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Fabio Quagliarella were involved in more goals.

The Ivory Coast attacker scored an impressive 22 goals and set-up a further 11 from the wing during a stunning individual 2018/19 campaign.

Only Messi, Mbappe and Quagliarella contributed more goals than the promising 24-year-old within the top five European Leagues

Pepe weighed in with more goals and assists than the likes of Eden Hazard, Mohamed Salah, Sergio Aguero and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Pepe, Arsenal possess one of the most lethal attacking lines in England.

Speaking about his new signing, Unai Emery said: "Nicolas is a highly-rated and talented winger who was wanted by many of the top teams in Europe.
