Nice try Arsenal fans but Chelsea's main stars don't have Armenian heritage.

Arsenal fans have jokingly attempted to force Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante out of the Europa League final, following Henrikh Mkhitaryan's decision to not travel to Baku.

The 30-year-old winger feared for his safety on the pitch as a result of the political tension between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

And in a bid to stop Hazard and Kante from travelling to Azerbaijan for the final, Arsenal supporters have taken to social media to spread fake rumours about the Chelsea pair.

"The sad thing is Armenia is a great country. I was once there on holiday, I met Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kantè they were both there to visit their grandparents," a Arsenal fan Tweeted.

His post sent Arsenal fans into overdrive.

Anyway, Mkhitaryan, who scored in Manchester United's Europa League final against Ajax back in 2017, wrote a message on social media confirming his decision to stay home.

"Having considered all the current options, we had to take the tough decision for me not to travel with the squad to the UEL Final against Chelsea," he said.

"It's the kind of game that doesn't come along very often for us players and I must admit, it hurts me a lot to miss it.I will be cheering my teammates on! Let's bring it home Arsenal."

Arsenal and Chelsea will meet in the Europa League final on May 29.
