A Source Close To Luke Shaw Reveals The Extent Of Jose Mourinho's 'Disgusting' Treatment

Huge revelations are beginning to emerge...

Manchester United's defence has come under-fire in recent weeks from a furious Jose Mourinho and Luke Shaw is prime suspect as far as the manager is concerned.

Mourinho has been relatively vocal with his criticism of the left-back and his latest outburst during the FA Cup win over Brighton was the tip of the iceberg.

The England defender was handed a rare start during the 2-0 victory, which set up a semi final bow with Tottenham, but was substituted off at half time after a nightmare 45 minutes

He received a lot of criticism from the sidelines during the first half from the vocal Portuguese boss and has completely fallen out of favour.

A close source of United defender Shaw has brandished Mourinho's treatment of the player as an "absolute disgrace" and "disgusting".

"Mourinho's treatment of Luke is an absolute disgrace. If he has a problem with him the decent thing to do would be to keep it in-house. If this kind of abuse happened in any other workplace there'd be a case for constructive dismissal. It's disgusting," the source exclaimed, via Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol.

Mourinho is certainly on the warpath right now as he calls out several of his players and the recent Champions League exit at the hands of Sevilla would have done very little to improve his mood.

Shaw's future at Old Trafford seems extremely bleak right now and with his contract expiring in the summer, it would be a big surprise to see him still at the club next summer.

The young full-back was expected to become a mainstay in the side for a decade when he initially joined from Southampton, but has never recovered from injury and a fresh start elsewhere could be the best step for his career.

Shaw, 22, should still have his best years ahead of him and a reunion with Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham has been touted in the past.

Mourinho's track record certainly shows that when he doesn't fancy a player they don't hang around for long and Shaw could join a list containing names such as Bastian Schweinsteiger and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Can Shaw salvage his career at United?
