Romelu Lukaku silenced all his haters when he produced a stunning first touch during Inter Milan's victory over Cagliari.

Lukaku, 26, scored a brace as Inter Milan ran out 4-1 against Cagliari in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday.

He opened the scoring in the first minute before doubling his goal tally four minutes after the break during his side's victory.

But it wasn't his two strikes which got fans talking. He impeccably controlled the ball then excellently distributed it on two separate occasions.

An Inter Milan Twitter fan account shared the clip of Lukaku's first touch, accompanied with the words: "Lukaku first touch analysts, please report for duty."

Lukaku's first touch stunned football fans on social media.

"Ole should be sacked for letting Lukaku go after he game him his job in the first place with the psg brace," one social media user wrote.

While another wrote: "one good first touch in decades and people are like 'the best first touch in the history of football' ffs" to which someone replied by saying: "He's been doing it all season?????"

Another tweet wrote: "Also it's not a purple patch. There's a reason teams paid 70ms for him. He's Belgium's top scorer."

The Belgium striker is enjoying a prolific debut season in Italy following his £73 million transfer from Manchester United in the summer.

He now has 18 goals to his name across all competitions, including 14 goals in the Serie A.
