Rapper M Huncho received a reply from Houssem Aouar after trying to tap him up for Arsenal.
The Lyon midfielder has been heavily linked with the Gunners in the transfer window but a deal now looks dead in the water.
But masked musician M Huncho, a staunch Arsenal fan from North London, has been doing his very best to try and keep the transfer alive.
He went and messaged Aouar on Instagram, telling him how Arsenal need him - with the 22-year-old responding by laughing it off.
You've got to appreciate the efforts from 'Huncholini' but Aouar appeared to confirm he will be staying put with Lyon this season after he produced a Man of the Match performance in the 1-1 draw with Marseille on Sunday.
"I felt that I could still bring things to this team and the club, the club that raised me," he told Telefoot La Chaine, as per the Daily Mail.
However, Arsenal are keen on Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey and look set to stump up the player's £45 million release clause.
According to the reliable David Ornstein, the club are willing to pay the fee and are "optimistic" of wrapping up the transfer prior to the transfer window closing later on today.
The deal would also allow Lucas Torreira to head in the opposite direction, with the Uruguayan closing in a loan move to Atleti after already passing his medicals with the Madrid club.
