The 2018 World Cup has reached fever pitch following the official Group Stage draw.

Gareth Southgate will be hoping for a better campaign after enduring a nightmare European Championship in 2016. England were dumped out of the tournament by Iceland.

England are grouped with Tunisia, Panama and Belgium in the 2018 World Cup.

Will England progress to the knockout stages?

Yes. But they won't get pass the quarter-finals. Well, that's according to a simulation through Football Manager courtesy of Sports Interactive via Mirror.

Football Manager has simulated the World Cup, and here's the results:

England.

The Three Lions would win their opening three Group Stage games, including beating Belgium 3-2.

They would then go onto face Poland, with Harry Kane bagging the match winner sending England to the quarter-finals.

Brazil would eliminate England from the World Cup, after heroics from Neymar who netted a brace. It'd finish Brazil 2- 1 England.

Kane would finish England's top scorer, while Raheem Sterling is the best player with an average rating of 7.37.

Runners-up to Portugal in the home Euro's, France would go onto win the prestigious World Cup defeating Argentina 2-0 in the final.

Antoine Griezmann's four goals would help Les Bleus reach the final and ultimately hold aloft the trophy with Paul Pogba statistically their player of the tournament.

Neymar.

Brazil would lose in the semi-finals, though the Paris Saint-Germain starlet weighed in with five goals.

Argentina would suffer more international heartbreak. However, Lionel Messi was declared the best player in the competition, recording an average rating of 7.70.

The Group F clash produced a unreal game which saw Javier Hernandez score a dramatic 83rd minute equaliser.
