Things are going swimmingly for PSG at the moment, given they are three points clear at the top of the table in Ligue One and have swept aside both Celtic and Bayern in the Champions League.

However, it's clear that Unai Emery won't be in the job forever and reports today say that PSG have already identified a replacement for the former Valencia and Sevilla boss.

According to Le 10 Sport, via Foot Mercato in France, the Parisians are targeting Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim as their next manager at the Parc des Princes.

The Venezuelan was the mastermind s behind Monaco's incredible Ligue One title-winning campaign last season, their first title win for 17 years.

Arguably the best team in Europe to watch last season, as well as pipping PSG to the domestic title, Jardim guided the Principality club to the Champions League semi-finals in what was a wholly memorable run.

And the talk is that PSG director Antero Henrique, who has already snapped up Monaco's 18-year old sensation Kylian Mbappe on a loan that will become permanent for £166 million next summer, as well as trying for midfielder Fabinho, feels he is the right man to take over from Emery, who is not expected to remain in charge beyond this season.

The 43-year old, who took the reins at Monaco in 2014, committed his future to the Ligue One champions over the summer, penning a new contract until 2020.

Even with the bulk of his big guns from last season moving on in the summer, and only Thomas Lemar and Fabinho staying put in the end, the largely new-look Monaco side haven't been too shabby at all this season and are only three points behind PSG, having accrued 19 points thus far.

The potential departure of Jardim would be a bigger blow to Monaco than any player leaving for pastures new.

Could you see Jardim in the dugout at PSG?

Sound off the comments.
