A football fan has controversially ranked Premier League midfielders from 'the best of the best' to 'sh*t'.

An online user has named Chelsea's N'Golo Kante, Manchester United's Paul Pogba and Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne as 'the best of the best' in England's top flight while selecting the likes of Nemanja Matic, Granit Xhaka and Declan Rice as 'sh*t'.

Behind the three 'the best of the best' midfielders in the elite category is Manchester City legend David Silva, who featured alongside Fabinho, Georginio Wijnaldum, Bernardo Silva and Fernandinho.

Leicester City trio James Maddison, Wilfred Ndidi and Youri Tielemans, among others, all feature in the 'quality' section.

Aston Villa star Jack Grealish is included in the 'good' division, alongside club colleagues John McGinn and Douglas Luiz, not to mention Spurs trio Christian Eriksen, Tanguy Ndombele and Moussa Sissoko to name but a few.

Phil Foden and Mason Mount feature in 'high potential' while Dele Alli is placed in 'alright'.
