Porto's Hector Herrera Shows Off Gruesome Foot Injury After Juventus Game

Doesn't look like he'll be playing this weekend...

Jose Mourinho learnt the hard way on Wednesday night the cost of playing in Europe when he lost Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Michael Carrick to injury for the EFL Cup final. But at least United won their match, FC Porto's Hector Herrera got himself injured and his team lost.

Porto face a mighty challenge in their return leg against Juventus. Goals from a pair of subs - Marko Pjaca and Daniel Alves - condemned Nuno Espírito Santo side to a 2-nil home defeat.

(Juventus players celebrate opening the scoring.)

Their night was made even harder following Alex Telles' stupidity which reduced his side to 10-men after picking up two yellow cards in the space of 74 seconds, which rules him out of the second-leg.

And to compound the Skippers misery, he also picked up a gnarly foot injury. The Mexican was clearing the ball when he was caught painfully by Stephen Lichtsteiner who got booked for the challenge.

Though that's no consolation.

(Herrera leads the protest following the ref brandishing a red card to Telles.)

But as captain, Herrera soldiered on, completing the 90 minutes despite two large gashes carved into his bloody foot. He then got treatment but not before posting an image online.
