Super-agent Mino Raiola believes Manchester United got themselves a bargain when they re-signed Paul Pogba, with the Dutchman deeming the Red Devils to have underpaid for his client.

In the summer of 2016, Pogba returned to Old Trafford for a then world-record £89 million fee, with many still feeling that United paid over the odds considering the 25-year old's mixed performances.

However his representative believes United should have paid £200 million to bring Pogba back, and claimed Pogba had the luxury of choosing his next destination due to a clause in his contract.

Speaking to Dutch magazine Quote, he said:

"As long as the television rights keep going up, the actors deserve to be paid more.

"I don't push prices over the limit. On the contrary, look at Pogba's transfer. Manchester United paid £100m - but I think they should have paid £200m.

"Pogba was a cheap player. He had a clause in his contract that said he alone - and not Juventus - was allowed to decide where he was going to play next season.

"They couldn't decide for him. The player must always stay in control. Juventus could have sold him for £200m to Real Madrid - so Manchester United actually saved themselves £100m."

Those comments certainly make for interesting reading, particularly with Pogba going through a difficult spell in his career.

Sir Alex Ferguson has previously been very critical of Raiola, blaming Pogba's 2012 departure on him and labelling him a "shit bag" when rugby star Brian Mujati asked him a question during a talk back in July.
