Manchester United vs Paris Saint-Germain didn't provide too many moments of quality in the first half but the best piece of play undoubtedly came from Paul Pogba.
The former Juventus midfielder has looked like a completely different player under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with United legend Rio Ferdinand even branding him "the most effective player in Europe" prior to the game.
And 15 minutes into the game, Pogba did what he does best by going on a quite sublime run. Displaying some ridiculous pace, he breezed past compatriot Presnel Kimpembe like he was some slouch and then followed it up by rinsing him for a second time.
The Frenchman showed some silky footwork to get into the area and forced Gianluigi Buffon, his former teammate in Turin, into a smart save at his near post.

Though it didn't end in a goal, United fans loved what Pogba served up:
With the game a real cagey affair, United will need more of the same from Pogba in the second half at Old Trafford.
