Real Madrid defender Pepe is nailed on to leave the club in the summer after the two parties failed to agree when it came to negotiationsregarding a new contract.

Real tabled the 34-year old with a one-year deal though he was holding out for a two-year contract. Pepe will now look elsewhere as he seeks for a move away.

It appeared as though the Chinese Super League was set to acquire his services with Hebei China Fortune offering a shitload of cash.

How much exactly? Well, a whopping 12 million euros net a season according to reports.

However, according to a report in Spain the chance of missing out on the Portugal squad for the 2018 World Cup made him decide to stay in Europe.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain became the front-runners to snap up the Champions League winner, and then everything indicated towards Pepe moving to Ligue One.

Spanish outlet Cadena SER reports that the Portuguese international is in advanced stages with PSG and has "one foot in the door."

However, the latest development is that Pepe could be Italy-bound, with reports in Spain, namely Onda Cero saying that he has an agreement in place to sign for Inter Milan.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport are also reporting that Pepe to Inter is as a good as done.

A two-time Champions League winner and a European champion, not bad for a free signing!
