Maurizio Sarri appeared to pick his nose and wipe it on Jose Mourinho after his side scored a 96th minute equaliser to claim a point against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian had showered his opposite number with praise prior to the game but that didn't stop him from seemingly producing a dirty deed when he embraced Mourinho at the final whistle.

Sky Sports cameras picked up Sarri wiping and scratching his nose as he had a brief chat with Mourinho but then as the Portuguese turned he away, it looked like the Chelsea boss wiped his bogie on the back of him.

Mourinho, meanwhile, went absolute crazy after a member of Sarri's coaching staff celebrated Barkley's late leveller right in front of him.

Marco Ianni, a member of Sarri's coaching staff, did it twice and it prompted Mourinho to fly out of his seat as things threatened to boil over.

Things were diffused after abit of melee broke out but Mourinho said the incident was forgotten about after the game and that he received an apology.

"I am not annoyed with anything," Mourinho told Sky Sports.

"What happened was with Sarri's assistant, and Sarri was the first one to come to me to say he would resolve the problem internally with me. After that his assistant come to me in Sarri's office and apologised to me," he said,

"I immediately said if you really feel that way, and you want to apologise, of course I accept apologies, and to forget it because I made lots of mistakes in my career. So I'm not going to kill you because of one."
