People Can't Decide If This Incredible Lionel Messi Trick Shot Is Real Or Fake

People Can't Decide If This Incredible Lionel Messi Trick Shot Is Real Or Fake

Messi is ludicrously talented, but does he have this in his locker without editing?

Lionel Messi's new Pepsi advert features an incredible trick shot that will have fans wondering if it is indeed legitimate.

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner has produced many moments of magic with a ball at his feet and regularly left us in awe with his innate abilities.

The latest instance, in a video posted by the official UEFA Champions League Twitter account, involved a tennis ball and a couple of Pepsi cans.

Messi stacked the two canned drinks on top of one another and was then handed a tennis ball. He then drop-volleys the ball into the bottom can, his accuracy so impressive that the top can lands on its own perfectly.

The trick is so good that it's very easy to overlook the fact that the other chap in the video left the greatest player of all time hanging for a handshake for quite some time. Shameful.

We reckon it will have to have been edited impeccably if it is actually fake, which some of these legendary commercials tend to be, but you'll have to make your own minds up. Either way, it's a very satisfying watch.

Messi has starred in amazing Pepsi advert/trickshot advert with Mo Salah that was released last year, while the Barcelona talisman also kicked a ball through a hoop as a Pepsi bottle spun upright in another superb display of accuracy.

In other Messi advert goodness, he casually nutmegged a reporter from 50 yards away for an Adidas link up back in 2018. When they say he could nutmeg a mermaid, they're not lying.

It's too bad, he's too good.
