Paul Scholes' Priceless Reaction To Steven Gerrard Saying He Never Won The Premier League

Paul Scholes' reaction to Steven Gerrard talking about how he never won the Premier League will forever remain one of the greatest moments in TV history.

Years after playing in the same England side dubbed 'the Golden Generation', the two were both in the BT Sport studio providing punditry on games.

Back in October 2017, Gerrard was discussing not winning the league title and Manchester United legend Scholes tried so hard to hold back his own emotions.

Scholes won a total of 11 Premier League titles in his glittering career at Old Trafford, while Gerrard famously came close in 2013/14 before his memorable slip against Chelsea allowed Demba Ba scored and led to Manchester City winning their only league title under Manuel Pellegrini.

"I think about it most days, a Liverpool team winning the league would help how I feel for sure," Gerrard said ion The Greatest Game with Jamie Carragher, as per Yahoo Sports.

"When I analyse it properly, I obviously understand it wasn't just that moment [that cost Liverpool the title], but still part of me in my head thinks it is.

"People say to me to make me feel better: 'It was over 28 games', but I still know behind what you're saying to me that moment was so big.

"Brendan said recently that Jordan Henderson's suspension killed us and it did... an own goal that Kolo Toure scored when we were winning at West Brom and drew the game and lost two points. All little things like that during the season, but it wasn't at that time, that moment against that team, so that's still behind all those people trying to soften it up for me."

After the disappointment as a player, Gerrard has received vindication of sorts as a manager after guiding Rangers to their 55th league title.

Still unbeaten domestically this term, Rangers ended Celtic's pursuit of ten titles in a row after a stunning campaign.
