Although helpful, it was a bit of a weird one...

Paul Pogba's coronavirus awareness post has baffled fans on social media.

While the Frenchman sent out an important message and linked information regarding the virus outbreak, he did so in bizarre fashion - essentially telling the public that dabbing when coughing and sneezing is the way forward.

Although it follows advice to cover your mouth with your arm in public (if you don't have a tissue to hand), it wasn't exactly the clearest explanation if you ask us.

It led to a whole lot of confusion in the replies, with many not quite understanding what Pogba was trying to do:

On Friday morning, following an emergency meeting, it was confirmed that the Premier League and EFL have suspended all games until April 3 amidst the spread of the coronavirus.

The postponement includes all matches in the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two, as well as all academy and youth-team fixtures.

The news comes after Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi contracted the virus and were placed in self-isolation as a result.

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters said: "Above all, we wish Mikel Arteta and Callum Hudson-Odoi speedy recoveries, and everyone else affected by COVID-19.

"In this unprecedented situation, we are working closely with our clubs, government, the FA and EFL and can reassure everyone the health and welfare of players, staff and supporters are our priority."

The situation will be reviewed again next month but there have already been reports of calls from two of the 20 clubs to cancel the season completely and declare it void.
