Paul Pogba made an instant impact by opening the scoring for Manchester United just minutes after coming on for the Red Devils.

Having been sidelined with injury for a number of weeks, the former Juventus man replaced Marcus Rashford at half-time of the Champions League round of 16 second leg against AC Milan at the San Siro.

And he wasted no time in affecting the game. In the 48th minute, after a bit of a scramble in the Milan box, Pogba beautifully feinted a shot before slotting past Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Deployed on the left, it took him less than two minutes to get on the scoresheet and he did so in wonderful fashion.

Before his introduction this evening, Pogba had not featured since the 3-3 draw with Everton on 6 February. The Frenchman continued his knack of coming up with important goals on the road for United, putting the Red Devils 2-1 up on aggregate in the Europa League round of 16 tie.

Hilariously, Pogba's immediate contribution completely contradicted Robbie Savage's point on co-commentary as Pogba entered the fray.

"I'm not sure how Paul Pogba can affect the game from the left," was the Savage comment that could not have been more wrong if he tried.

In addition to the crucial away goal, Pogba produced an impressive performance in Milan - linking play superbly as united progressed to the quarter finals of Europe's secondary club competition.
