Over 150,000 Fans Vote On Who Conor McGregor Should Fight Next In UFC
Fans have been voting on what fight they want to see Conor McGregor take in his next fight, with 2019 fighter of the year Jorge Masvidal the favourite.
Masvidal was cageside to see McGregor dominate UFC veteran Donald Cerrone in his first fight inside the Octagon for 15 months.
McGregor won by TKO in 40 seconds in Las Vegas after a brutal early onslaught put Cowboy away in round one.
lt all started with the Notorious smashing Cerrone with a number of shoulder strikes in the clinch - breaking his nose in the process.
He then followed it up with a swift head kick and ground and pound before referee Herb Dean stepped in to call off the contest and award the Notorious one a dream return to fighting.
Given he came away without a mark on his face or a hair out of place, it surely won't be too long before we see McGregor do battle in UFC once again.
And BMF champion Masvidal is who they fans want him to face next.
MMA journalist Chamatkar Sandhu asked fans on Twitter to vote and it was Gamebred who came out on top with 41.4% of the votes - ahead of welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, the winner of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson and the trilogy fight with Nate Diaz.
Usman, who McGregor has gone back and forth with verbally, garnered just 5%, while 17.7% want to see McGregor and Diaz have a third war - something the Irishman himself expressed an interest in during his post-fight presser on Saturday.
He also confirmed to Ariel Helwani in his locker room he is still very much interested in the bout and had some choice words for Masvidal copying his Versace dressing gown.
"No problem. We can do that, no problem," he said.
"Is he trying to get my attention? What kind of underwear was he wearing, do you know what I mean? I don't know what that means. A bleedin' housecoat.
"The grannies in Ireland wear housecoats watching the soaps, the soap opera shows. Me nanny wears that. I don't know what that was about."
Who do you want to see McGregor slug it out with next?
