One Of Arsenal's Top Targets To Leave His Club In January
Arsenal may well have moved a step closer to landing their top target.
The Gunners have been keen on midfielder Riechedly Bazoer for a few years and it has now been confirmed that the Holland international will leave Ajax in January.
Ajax boss Peter Bosz spoke to the club's official website and confirmed that after speaking with the 20-year old, he revealed that Bazoer will leave the club after just six appearances in the Eredivisie this season.
"Riechedly and I had a good conversation on Saturday afternoon.
"He reported that his transfer is in the final phase - and I also understand this from Marc [Overmars, director of football].
"He has a view to a new club, which is why we gave him freedom from training to work with players who are focused on our next opponent.
"We shook hands and parted in a good way."
The club who are close to signing Bazoer is unclear, but Arsenal appear to be most likely. AC Milan and Liverpool have also shown interest.
