A football fan has produced a thread blasting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with all of the Manchester United manager's "worst quotes of all time."

The Red Devils have been heavily inconsistent this season in their hunt for a top-four finish in the Premier League.

And now Twitter user AndyRobertsLUHG has compiled some of the standout moments from the United boss' quotes, which have left him red-faced or turned out to be contradictions.

Quotes include Solskjaer suggesting that Alexis Sanchez could play more matches for the Red Devils this season, only for the ex-Gunners star to be loaned out to Inter Milan days later.

And another one has the United boss saying that they will replace Romelu Lukaku ahead of his stunning move to Inter last summer.

United are fifth in the Premier League and are five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea in the race for top four.

The Red Devils failed to cut the five-point deficit last Sunday after their 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Solskjaer's men will now return to action on Wednesday when they welcome Burnley to Old Trafford.
