Thiago Alcantara produced an outrageous no-look pass in his first ever Merseyside derby.

The Spain midfielder played through teammate Sadio Mane, who picked out captain Jordan Henderson for what looked to be a dramatic stoppage time winner against Everton at Goodison Park.

Mane was judged to have been in an offside position and so VAR chalked the goal off after an incredibly close call, with the pulsating affair ending 2-2.

However, the superb piece of play in the build-up from midfield metronome Thiago, who nearly had his leg broken after a horror challenge from Richarlison minutes before, still deserves a whole lot of appreciation.

The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona man did not even need to look up but knew exactly where his teammate would be and found him with ease.

It was just complete and utter filth from Thiago, who has really made no-look passes a feature of his game. The disguise he puts on as he fires the ball into the feet of a teammate really is something to behold and he does it time and time again.

You only have to go back a month for when he conjured up a disgusting no-look pre-assist for Serge Gnarby's goal in the 8-2 thrashing of Barcelona in the Champions League quarter final.

What a wonderful footballer Liverpool have added to the ranks.
