On this day ten years ago, David Beckham made his 115th and final appearance in an England shirt.

The Manchester United legend came on a substitute in the 3-0 win over Belarus at Wembley, replacing Aaron Lennon to a huge ovation just before the hour mark and registering an assist for Shaun Wright-Phillips immediately after entering the fray.

The game, which was England's final World Cup qualifier ahead of the 2010 showpiece, saw Gabby Agbonlahor lead the line along with Peter Crouch, who notched two.

At the time, it wasn't quite the dream farewell for Becks as we didn't know it would be his final appearance.

A ruptured achilles tendon ruled him out of the World Cup and though he did travel with the team for the disappointing tournament, he never pulled on the Three Lions jersey again.

Beckham finished his England career 10 caps short of Peter Shilton's record but still leaves us with so many memorable moments.

The redemption penalty against Argentina, the free-kick against Colombia in 2006 and of course, the last-gasp set-piece that saved England against Greece at Old Trafford 18 years ago this month.

Did anyone wear the England armband with more pride than Becks? What's your favourite memory of him in an England shirt?
