Montpellier Striker Celebrates Goal By Eating Haribo, Only For It To Be Disallowed

Montpellier striker Andy Delort came up with a creative goal celebration today when he ate a haribo that was taped to his wrist.
The Algerian found the net in the 59th minute against Nimes and promptly headed to the cameras to chomp on a crocodile haribo sweet.
The reason it was a crocodile is because Nimes are nicknamed 'Les Crocodiles' and have the reptile in their club crest.
Delort had a very brief spell at the club between 2009 and 2010, playing just three times.
However, much to the annoyance of Delort, the goal was disallowed by VAR for offside and so the celebration was ultimately pointless in the end.
Montpellier's Andy Delort celebrated what he thought was opening the scoring vs bitter rivals Nîmes by eating a red crocodile Haribo, Nîmes' club badge... only for VAR to rule it out. Nîmes scored 4 minutes later. Delort's blushes were spared when he equalised. 1-1 it finished. pic.twitter.com/kEtoth0LNR

#L1 : Quand Delort mange les Crocos !
Auteur de l'ouverture du score face à Nîmes, Andy Delort a célébré en mangeant un crocodile Haribo.
Mais son but a ensuite été refusé pour hors-jeu. Karma ? Attendez.

Mere minutes later Nimes took the lead through Moussa Kone in the 63rd minute but Delort, who had two goals disallowed in total, notched an equaliser in the 79th minute to claim a point.
Unfortunately for him, he wasn't able to get another sweet in time for his legitimate goal.
The former Wigan Athletic man has been having a fine season in the French top flight, with nine goals and seven assists in 20 appearances.
