18-year old Nice starlet Lamine Diaby-Fadiga is facing the sack after stealing teammate Kasper Dolberg's £62,000 watch from the dressing room.

Former Ajax striker Dolberg, who joined the club in a £18 million summer move, noticed his watch had gone missing on September 16 and went to the police to report it.

Diaby, who has been with the club since he was 13, emerged as a suspect and according to AFP, the player admitted to the theft following a police investigation - apologising to his teammates and manager Patrick Vieira.

The striker is said to be one of the most promising prospects to have come from the club's youth academy in years and only recently signed a professional contract.

But as per L'Equipe, the French outfit feel they have no other option but to terminate his contract with immediate effect.

Diaby has been with Les Aiglons since the age of 13 and made his debut as a 16-year old in a Europa League game against Vitesse, going on to make a further five appearances for the club.
