Just when you thought you might be able to go a day without reading some ridiculous news involving Neymar, here comes a story that is completely fucking bananas, even by the Brazilian's recent standards.

The world's most expensive player has dominated headlines for the past three months following his move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain and subsequent massive penalty related fall out with Edinson Cavani. Now, the former Santos forward is reported to have appealed to UEFA to have Barca expelled from the Champions League.

The 25-year-old is apparently furious with the Catalan club for not paying his father a £23 million loyalty bonus after he put the move to the French capital off until 3rd August. No, we don't get it, either.

Anyway, the former Brazil captain believes his father is owed the fee and Barca have refused to part with the cash, claiming that Neymar sr had reneged on an agreement to extend his son's contract at the Camp Nou.

Now, Neymar has appealed to UEFA to take legal action against the five time Champions League winners, including having them kicked out of the competition altogether.

However, according to AS, European football's governing body rapidly rejected the appeal.

Neymar has already hit eight goals since completing his £197 million move to the Parc des Princes. He won two La Liga titles and the 2015 Champions League during his four years in Catalonia.
