Neymar Was Restrained By PSG Staff After Trying To Get Into Referees Office

Neymar was furious after a controversial stoppage time penalty saw Manchester United inflict more Champions League knockout misery on Paris Saint-Germain.

With the game 3-2 on aggregate and it looking like the hosts were going through, referee Damir Skomina went to VAR and awarded a late spot-kick for handball against Presnel Kimpembe.

Marcus Rashford stepped up and coolly slotted in United's third past Gianluigi Buffon to complete yet another sensational Champions League comeback for the Red Devils and send Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side into the quarter finals on away goals.

Neymar, still out with an injury, instantly became a meme for his priceless reaction to Rashford wallopping in the winner.

And he fully lost the plot after that. Not long after the final whistle, the Brazilian took to Instagram to vent his frustrations at the officials on his story to say.

"This is a shame," Neymar wrote.

"They put 4 guys who do not understand football to be watching in slow motion. This is surreal. How will the guy put his hand on his back? Oh f*ck off."

That wasn't all though. According to French publication RMC Sport, Neymar was so incensed with the manner in which PSG lost out that he tried to get enter where the referees were, prompting PSG officals to intervene and stop him from doing so.

Once he was calmed down, the former Barcelona forward spoke to teammates and is also said to have embraced manager Thomas Tuchel.

Neymar wasn't the only angry figure as the same outlet reports PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi took out his frustrations on a door.

Meanwhile, AS, say a three-match ban could be coming Neymar's way for his criticism of the referees as it could well breach article 11 of UEFA's disciplinary code, which prohibits conduct that is 'insulting or otherwise violates the basic rules of decent conduct.'

Dejan Lovren was hit with a one-game UEFA suspension in November after he boasted about elbowing Sergio Ramos on his Instagram page and slagged off the Spanish national team.
