Who is to blame for Real Madrid's terrible performance season? Well, Spanish outlet Marca asked that question to their readers and the results are very interesting.

Real's new signings: Theo Hernandez, Marcos Llorente, Borja Mayoral, Jesus Vallejo and Dani Ceballos have all been absolutely panned in the poll, but the same can be said for a good chunk of Los Blancos' established first-team stars.

Karim Benzema has misfired this season and he is public enemy No.1 with the Madridstas, with an astounding 92 per cent of the voters pinning the blame on the Frenchman - 235,000 fans to be exact.

Next up on the list is Theo. He was signed from city rivals Atletico in the summer and it was hoped he would challenge Marcelo for the left-back berth but has failed to do so and has garnered 88 per cent of the votes.

Rooke defender Achraf Hakimi is in third having accrued 81 per cent, not far in front of Kiko Casilla, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo, who are all in fifth on 77 per cent.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been his old self in the Champions League but anything but domestically, having scored just eight goals in La Liga - well below par for him. Clearly, Real fans have not been happy with his displays.

There's been the usual talk that Ronaldo wants to leave the club in recent weeks, but the Portuguese superstar says he has no intention of departing.

What Ronaldo could spend a month's wages on:

"Of course I want to stay here, I love this club," he told Chinese football app Dongqiudi, via Sky Sports.

"I like living here. I've lived in this city since 2009 and I love the weather and the people. It's close to Portugal and you can get there by car. Spain is a great country, I love it."

Does Ronaldo deserve the criticism he's receiving?
