Wilfred Ndidi starred for Leicester City against Chelsea as he proved he's the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League.

The Foxes beat Chelsea 2-0 at the King Power Stadium to climb to the top of the league with Ndidi's performance in the middle of the park the talk of the game.

He bossed proceedings in the engine room of the pitch, neatly breaking up play and setting up attacks - even opening the scoring with a terrific long-range strike.

His individual highlights from Tuesday's league clash makes for incredible viewing as he staked his claim to be the best DM in England's top flight.

Naturally, his showing sent social media wild.

Ndidi is forging a solid relationship with Youri Tielemans in midfield with manager Brendan Rodgers recognising their incredible work.

"You have to have flexibility, but those two really complement each other," he said.

"Wilf had a great game the other night in a high-intensity game with lots of duels, where you've got to win your headers, got to be strong, got to be aggressive, got to cover ground.

"Youri does that too but then [Ndidi] can pass it to Youri and he can play the forward passes.

"There's a great combination there between the two. If you can get that in one player, he's probably worth £150M. They both have their own strengths and they complement each other very well."
