Monaco have quickly become every neutrals second favourite team. Mainly it's because they're hoping that their first team buy half of the Monaco team but also because the principality team have become an attacking sensation but they're no longer the top scorers in the big leagues.

Monaco's victories over Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City in the Champions League over the last two seasons really put them in the spotlight of everyone's thinking as well as leading Ligue 1 from PSG.

The French side are full to brimming with young talent including Fabinho, Tiemoué Bakayoko, Thomas Lemar, Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva and of course the flavour of the month Kylian Mbappe. There isn't a big club who hasn't been linked with at least one of them.

Against Manchester City they really showed how good an attacking threat they can be with six goals over the two legs, to set up a Champions League quarter final with Borussia Dortmund.

However despite bagging 87 goals this season Monaco are no longer the top scorers in Europe's big five leagues after the midweek games. Barcelona's 3-0 win over Sevilla put Luis Enrique's side top.

Luis Suarez opened the scoring to put Barca on 86 goals, Lionel Messi's first goal took them level with the French side and then his second of the night and Barca's third took them one goal ahead.

Real Madrid sit in third place on the table, via Squawka, 10 goals behind their domestic rivals. No one else has broken the 70 goal mark as yet with Napoli on 69, Bayern on 67 and Liverpool and Roma on 66 making up the top five.

Liverpool might only be third in the Premier League but their free scoring ways sees them top the goalscoring charts in England.

Despite being top scorers in France Monaco's top league goalscorer is Radamel Falcao on 16 goals, joint third on Ligue 1's list and a whole 11 goals behind Edinson Cavani in first.

Barca have the top two scorers in La Liga with Messi and Suarez, the Argentine on 27 to his teammates 24.
