Michael Owen’s Attempt at Some Halloween Fun Spectacularly Backfires

We've rarely encountered a football pundit who gets more abuse on a regular basis than Michael Owen.

And, as the former Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid forward tried to have a little bit of Halloween fun today on Twitter, his mentions soon became flooded with nothing but criticism from people trolling him.

Owen attempted to come up with an entry for himself into a classic Halloween XI, with the likes of Ghoul Scholes and Diego Ghosta already chosen, and it's definitely fair to say that his suggestion really didn't go down too well:
