Bayern Munich player Joshua Kimmich had an excellent year on the whole, becoming a mainstay in the Bayern side and being part of the Germany team which claimed the Confederations Cup despite having the bulk of their first-teamers absent.

The versatile Kimmich played in 14 out of the 15 games Joachim Low's team played in 2017, and at 22, has become a hugely important player.

On their official website, Die Mannschaft revealed that Kimmich claimed 43.5 percent of the 52,661 votes cast, with more than 20,000 fans selecting him.
