Megan Rapinoe says her basketballer fiancee would be the best No.10 in the world if she swapped sports.

The USWNT star was tagged in a tweet by Arielle Chambers, who included Rapinoe and her other half Sue Bird in her latest edition of the 'Jersey Swap' series.

2019 Ballon d'Or winner Rapinoe was wearing Seattle Storm's shirt, with Bird in OL Reign's colours.

And in her reply, Rapinoe claimed that her wife-to-be's sporting talents are not merely restricted to the court.

"Sue Bird would be the best 10 in the world. I SAID WHAT I SAID," Rapinoe wrote, accompanied by a few emojis.

One of the best female basketball players of all-time, Bird is a four-time WBNA champion, while she also has four Olympic gold medals with Team USA in her collection.

The sporting power couple met at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and got engaged in October 2020.

Along with their Hall of Fame sporting careers, the pair have been incredibly vocal on social issues such as LGBTQ rights and racism in America.

In 2018, the duo appeared together on the front cover of ESPN magazine named The Body Issue, becoming first openly gay couple to do so.

Both will be participating in their respective fields at this year's Olympics in Tokyo and although they will be in separate bubbles, Rapinoe and Bird have been preparing alongside one another.

"We have quite a bit of overlap," Rapinoe told InStyle.

"Even though we play different sports, I think especially as a little bit older athletes, you know, we have some of the same ailments - the lower back hip thing.

"We're on the same wavelength there, which makes it easy,"
