Kylian Mbappé is one player who has enjoyed a very successful year in football.

Following on from completing a domestic treble with Paris Saint-Germain and winning the World Cup with France, the 19-year-old French forward took home the inaugural Kopa Trophy on Monday in Paris.

The former Monaco ace, who completed his permanent €180m move to the Ligue 1 champions in the summer, has revealed that Chelsea's Eden Hazard is the best player he played against in 2018.

"He is the player I played against this year that impressed me the most," he told France Football (via Goal).

"With Belgium, in the World Cup semi-finals, he had been impressive while still respecting the game. When he has to pass the ball because the game commands it, he does it without any qualms.

"I was sometimes five metres away from him and I was amazed by his speed of execution, with the ball sticking all the time to his foot, constantly processing information with his head still up. There is no space he does not see."

It follows on from Mbappé revealing that he would love to play alongside Ajax's Frenkie de Jong at PSG.

"His vision of the game and quality of passes breaking the lines makes him very valuable," he said.

"He's welcome at Paris! I put in a good word [for him], because he'd help us a lot."
