We know how Mohamed Salah and Jamie Vardy reacted to Harry Kane being awarded the goal at Stoke City, but how did the Spurs striker react to getting destroyed on social media?

Well, Mauricio Pochettino has revealed his mood.

Following the Premier League's decision, Kane now has 25 goals to his name. Still four behind Liverpool's goal scoring machine Salah who reacted brilliantly.

Leicester City's prolific front man also reacted:

And I wouldn't be surprised if Kane has seen those Tweets considering his prevalence on social media, a point made by Pochettino.

While claiming he was left disappointed following the brutal response online.

"Of course he never thought that this situation was going to go on to such big things when he was so, so, so, so certain that he touched the ball," he told Telegraph.

The Spurs boss added: "It's normal that he was a little bit disappointed [with the reaction] because of course Harry Kane and all of our players have Twitter, Instagram. Tottenham fans will back Harry Kane but other fans will kill him.

"People have opinions but that is normal.

"He is disappointed because he never wanted to create this. For you, sometimes, it is a small or simple thing and they become bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger and you cannot stop it. That was what happened. He is going to learn a lot from this."

Spurs are back in action at home to league leaders Manchester City. While Liverpool host Bournemouth.
