Martin Odegaard won Real Sociedad's Player of the Month award after a stunning of form and was rewarded for his efforts with a massive fish.
The Norwegian has been tearing up at the Basque club after signing on loan, scoring twice in his first four La Liga appearances and running the show as Sociedad beat Atletico 2-0 at the weekend.
He deservedly picked up the award although it was an unusual prize opted for. There was no trophy or bottle of champagne, instead Odegaard was presented with a large fish at a supermarket in Donostia. Incredible scenes.
Odegaard's bizarre gift continues a trend in sport. A hockey star from Russia received an AK-47 for his role in between the sticks.
Having stopped 36 of the 38 shots he faced for Izhstal Izhevsk in their 3-2 win over Chelmet, Saveli Kononov was handed an assault rifle by a senior official.
Izhstal Izhevsk's captain passed Kononov the weapon and he paraded with the gun before giving a rousing speech to his teammates.
