Not much sympathy from him.

On Sunday evening, Neymar rolled his ankle horribly following a tackle from Marseille's Bouna Sarr, who received a yellow card.

The Brazilian was stretchered off in tears in the 3-0 win at the Parc des Princes, with some reports stating that he has suffered a broken metatarsal and requires surgery.

However, when Marseille left-back Jordan Amavi was questioned about Neymar's injury after the game, he didn't exactly show much sympathy - basically saying it was his fault because he encourages fouls.

"We played normally against Neymar. I found him looking for things [fouls]," he told RMC.

"I am just telling you what I saw on the pitch. He waited for us to press and then released the ball at the last minute.

"What did he expect? Personally, I do not know, I think he was looking for things though. He reaped a little of what he sows.

"Everybody knows that he has the talent, but he waited for us to press before releasing the ball."

The French radio station, via the Mirror, also reported that Dimitri Payet told referee Benoit Bastien, "Tell Neymar to calm down or we are going to take care of him."

Reports from Brazil said that the world's most expensive player could be set for around two months on the sidelines, but PSG boss Unai Emery refuted those reports ahead of the French Cup quarter-final on Wednesday, which is another showdown with Marseille.

He even went on to say the former Barcelona man could be in contention for the Real Madrid game in the Champions League.

"The information that Neymar will be operated is false," he explained.

"I spoke with the doctor on Tuesday morning and he explained to me what the exams revealed. I also talked about it with Antero Henrique, the president and the player.

"Neymar is the first who wants to play every game, for Real Madrid, he is very focused. I think there is a small chance for him to be ready for the match."
