Mario Gotze Posts Classy Message Following His Return To Borussia Dortmund

Mario Gotze has returned to Borussia Dortmund from Bayern Munich.

The German heads back to his first professional club after failing to nail down a position at Bayern. Following a difficult few seasons at the Allianz Arena, making just the 14 Bundesliga appearances last season under Pep Guardiola, he's struggled to meet expectations.

Months of mounting speculation surrounding his future has come to an end. Since the club confirmed the deal, he's taken to social media to post a classy message to the Dortmund faithful's. Here's what he posted on his Facebook earlier.

The 24-year-old playmaker enjoyed a hugely successful first stint at the club where he won back-to-back league titles, making 116 appearances while scoring 31 goals.

The switch back to the Westfalenstadion will see him reunite with Marco Reus forging a lethal pairing.
