Borussia Dortmund starlet Marco Reus is now a legal driver.

Sure, the Olympics is going and the Premier League has commenced but nevertheless we're happy to report that the German has finally passed his driving test. This will come as a relief to his club after he was fined a whopping 540,000 euros not long ago as a result of driving around Germany without a valid license.

Reus confirmed to Bild that he has indeed passed his test, while adding he's "pleased" this prolonged chapter is close. "Yes, it's true that I've passed my driving test. I am pleased that this chapter is now closed."

Following passing both theory and practical examinations, the 27-year-old frontman can now look forward to the start of the Bundesliga.

Despite losing important members of their squad in Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mats Hummels, replacing adequately by drafting in Ousmane Dembele and Mario Gotze, among others, should ensure they mount a competitive challenge on all fronts.

With Dortmund re-signing Gotze they now form quite a lethal attacking trio in the shape of Gotze-Reus-Aubameyang. The new Bundesliga campaign kicks-off on the 26th of August, though Reus and Co. host Mainz on the 27th. We can't wait!
