Marcelo is said to have informed Real Madrid of his desire to leave Blancos and reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus.
According to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, following Los Blancos' dire run of form under manager Julen Lopetegui, the Brazilian has outlined his intentions of leaving Real in the January transfer window.

And he wants to follow his former teammate in making the switch to Juventus, with €50 million - €60 million the fee being discussed for the left-back to depart the Santiago Bernabeu if the Bianconeri are able to offload his compatriot Alex Sandro.
During their nine years as teammates at Real, Marcelo and Ronaldo, both Portuguese speakers, struck up a relationship on and off the pitch.

Marcelo, who has a contract with Real until 2022, was briefly linked with the Old Lady in the summer but reiterated his desire to remain in the Spanish capital in September, telling Real Madrid TV: "I am very happy at Madrid. People know what my situation is, I have a lot of years left on my contract, I am very happy here. For me it is the best club in the world".
