Manuel Neuer pulled off a sensational double save for Bayern Munich against Werder Bremen this afternoon.

The Bayern Munich and Germany No.1 had the perfect response to conceding six goals in midweek against Spain when he made two world-class stops in his 400th game for the club.

Neuer displayed incredible instinct to deny Josh Sargent after the 20-year-old American broke free in the area. The young forward thought he had stabbed home from an inviting cross, only for Neuer to react superbly with his outstretched foot.

He wasn't done there though. With the attack still ongoing, the former Schalke goalkeeper dived down to his right to push away a second goal-bound effort.

You can appreciate the two saves even more from the camera behind the goal.

And the following image really captures just how special the first one was from the absolute man mountain in goal for the German and European champions.

The successive stops were made 15 minutes into the game at the Allianz Arena but Neuer was beaten on the stroke of half-time when Maximilian Eggestein finished smartly with his left-foot after Sargent spun Javi Martinez and got in behind.

Kingsley Coman equalised for the Bavarians in the 62nd minute.
