After a horrible looking fall on his knee during the Europa League quarter-final, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the season.

Not only is he set to miss the remainder of this campaign, but the 35-year-old is likely to be sidelined till early 2018.

The towering-Swede has since undergone successful knee surgery and is adamant he'll return to the field.

But for who?

His United contract is up at the end of the season, and is subject to plenty of interest from America with LA Galaxy prepared to make him the highest paid player in the MLS.

But despite him potentially playing his last game in a Manchester United shirt, the club are happy for him to continue his rehabilitation at their training base even if the striker does not sign a new contract, per The Times.

Class gesture.

This comes off the back of Ibrahimovic refusing to be paid while he's injured. United have reciprocated with their own class offering.

Will he return to play for United? Or is Ibrahimovic destined to ply his trade in the States?
