Manchester United are reportedly set to make a last-ditch attempt to sign Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.

Martin Lipton from The Sun says that United are preparing a club-record £95 million bid for the French forward and would be willing to meet his wage demands of around £450,000 per week.

At the end of last season, Griezmann released a statement confirming he would leave Atleti after five seasons and looked braced for a move to Barcelona.

Atlético Madrid CEO Miguel Ángel Gil Marín pretty much confirmed the former Real Sociedad man is Barca-bound when he told Radioestadio, "I am very clear about where he is going to play -- it is known since March -- at Barcelona," as per Sport.

However, the latest is that Barca's "failure to make an official move" has given United hope that they could finally land him after a long-running saga.

The Red Devils are aware that the fact they are playing in the Europa League next season and not the Champions League is an issue - and will have to do some serious persuading given the current predicament of the club.

Griezmann himself admitted he could well move away from Spain for his next challenge while on international duty.

"I don't know if I will stay in La Liga," he told reporters after the 4-0 Euro 2020 qualifying victory over Andorra.

"I know where I want to go. I am also keen to get this over with as quickly as possible."

Who should Griezmann go to for the next chapter of his career?
