Manchester United Player Hints He Wants Mourinho At Old Trafford

Louis Van Gaal may have clung onto his job with recent victories over Manchester City and Arsenal, but the Manchester United manager isn't expected to be in the Old Trafford dug out at the beginning of next season and it seems some of his players don't want him there, either.

Right-back Guillermo Varela, a player you would expect to be quite fond of Van Gaal, due to the Dutchman giving him his first break in the United first team, has liked a tweet asking for United to hire Jose Mourinho as their next manager.

Twitter user @Kwameb2014 made the plea for United to 'announce Mourinho' after the club had wished the Uruguayan defender a happy birthday on Twitter.

Maybe the 22-year-old knows something we don't or perhaps it's just an error in judgement on his part. Either way, his actions will do little to quell the reports that 'The Special One' is on his way to Old Trafford.
