Pep Guardiola has got the largest rebuilding job of his career on his hands once he takes the reigns at Manchester City but one player believes the current Bayern Munich boss will be 'lucky' to have him at his disposal.

Samir Nasri, who has made headlines this season mainly for the changing colour of his hair rather than his exploits on the pitch, reckons Guardiola is fortunate to be inheriting a player with his hunger, next season.

The controversial French midfielder scored the winner during City's 2-1 victory over West Brom at the weekend but has missed the majority of the season with a tendon injury, making only nine appearances.

"I played against him in the past [for Arsenal], he had some praise for me but I think that was like five years ago now.

"That is one thing. When he is going to start I am going to be fresh so I hope that will help me and I will try to perform, because when you have been out for so long you are more hungry when you come back, you don't want to waste your time.

"You want to be back with a bang and be fit for my team. If I stay working with Pep Guardiola, if he wants me, he's just going to be a lucky man because I will be really hungry."

Whether Nasri will feature in Guardiola's City revolution remains to be seen.
