The former Benfica man was back in Portugal for the Champions League trip to Porto and marked his return with an inexplicable miss in the second half.
City's most expensive signing somehow failed to find the net despite being placed on the goal-line. Fernandinho put in a superb cross that was flicked on goalwards by Raheem Sterling.
Dias slid in at the far post and got a contact - but came up with a goal-line clearance that sent the ball backwards.
Genuinely can't believe this did not result in a Man City goal :scream:
What a miss by Ruben Dias, what a save by Agustin Marchesin! pic.twitter.com/aGBvpeVnTv

Spanish forward Ferran Torres reacted with an overhead kick but goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin made a superb save to deny him.
City thought they had scored the opener when substitute Gabriel Jesus played one-two off the crossbar and slotted home, only for VAR to rule there had been an offside in the build-up.
The TV took a while to show where the infringement was but got there in the end!
Manchester City's lead ruled out following a VAR review.

Still, regardless of the miss, City secured top spot in the group stage with a game to spare after four wins, one draw and five clean sheets.
