Manchester United have strongly condemned the actions of a group of fans for throwing flares at Ed Woodward's house.

A group of supporters went to extreme lengths to protest against Woodward's running of the club and the Glazer's regime.

A video emerged online showing a group of people launching flares into his house, accompanied with the caption: "Ed Woodward's gonna die."

The club have since released a statement explaining that anyone found guilty of a criminal offence will be banned for life.

"Manchester United Football Club have tonight been made aware of the incident outside the home of one of our employees," the statement reads.

"We know that the football world will unite behind us as we work with Greater Manchester Police to identify the perpetrators of this unwarranted attack.

"Anybody found guilty of a criminal offence, or found to be trespassing on this property, will be banned for life by the club and may face prosecution.

"Fans expressing opinion is one thing, criminal damage and intent to endanger life is another. There is simply no excuse for this."

Former United defender Rio Ferdinand also weighed in on the disgraceful act.

Woodward, his wife and children were not inside the property at the time of the incident according to reports.

These fierce protests come after United's steady decline since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013.

They've failed to win the Premier League since his departure and trail league leaders Liverpool by a massive 33 points as they occupy fifth place.

But the Reds are in line to receive a boost with the signing of Bruno Fernandes who's expected to sign for the Old Trafford club this week.
