Manchester United 'Make Contact' With Lyon Over £43 Million Move For Moussa Dembele

Manchester United have reportedly 'made contact' with Lyon in regards to striker Moussa Dembele.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to make some big and long overdue changes with the United squad for next season, with attack an area he wants to shake up.

And according to L'Equipe, the Red Devils are considering 22-year old Dembele. The former Fulham man signed for Lyon in a £20 million summer move from Celtic and has been in fine form back in his native France, scoring 18 goals in all competitions so far.

It's said that Solskjaer has already begun to study Dembele as he looks to uncover whether he would be a worthwhile addition to his side.


Dembele, who still has four year remaining on his contract at the Groupama Stadium, would command a fee of £43 million - which would see Lyon double their money on the their No.9 if they elected to offload him.

Arsenal have also shown interest in Dembele, though there need for reinforcements up top is lessened by the fine form of former Lyon man Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

A Paris Saint-Germain youth product, Dembele scored 51 goals in 94 appearances for Celtic - winning back-to-back trebles under Brendan Rodgers.
